Reporting to the Mine General Supervisor, you will be part of a team responsible for the daily operation of Cameco’s McArthur River Mine.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for the short term (i.e. daily, weekly) management of production drilling, raiseboring, underground mucking, and underground construction,
- Help with the reliability of underground mining equipment activities, continuous improvement, mine safety and mine QMS management
- Have a proven history of leadership in providing safe and reliable execution of tasks, business focus, developing others, building relationships, and achieving results in a mining environment
- Have excellent communication, working with minimal direction within a multi-functional mining team, displaying initiative and striving to achieve results
Required:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Minimum of 10 years of mine operational experience, underground preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Previous front line supervisor experience
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan supervisor’s certificate
- Great understanding of mine safety and safety systems
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Familiar with Bentley would be an asset
- Mine Blasting Certified or familiar with mine blasting activities and able to obtain a Saskatchewan Blasting Certificate
- SAP experience
- Understanding of reliability centred operation
- Previous uranium mining experience
- Familiarity with iOS devices
