Women in Mining and Women in Nuclear Saskatchewan Inc. (WIM/WiN-SK) is a registered not‐for‐profit organization. The joint chapter was formed when the provincial chapters of Women in Mining and Women in Nuclear joined together. Saskatchewan’s mineral resources create a strong link between mining and nuclear industries. Bringing the two chapters together formed a stronger base foundation for the organization to grow.
The organization is separated into two separate entities, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committees.
The Board of Directors consists of individuals who are voted in annually at the Annual General Meeting of the corporation. These individuals are responsible for the strategic planning, governance, and other legal obligations set forth in the by‐laws of the corporation.
The Board has a series of specific roles and responsibilities including the Chair, Vice‐Chair, Past Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Directors. The Board has ultimate voting rights to any decision, contractual, fiduciary, or legal in any sense.
