Namarta Kochar is a seasoned and collaborative leader leveraging over two decades of professional experience. Her focus on strategic development, board governance, and effective stakeholder engagement positions her to empower organizations and foster meaningful partnerships.
Namarta holds a B.A. in Political Studies and an Advanced Certificate in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Public Sector Leadership and an Advanced Executive Certificate, both from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
A recognized community advocate, Namarta serves as a public representative on the Drug Advisory Committee of Saskatchewan for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health and as a member of the TCU Place Board of Directors. She previously chaired the City of Saskatoon’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee, and actively engages in a multitude of events and initiatives aimed at fostering a cohesive and inclusive society.
Namarta has been invited as a guest speaker on various topics, including women in leadership and equity, diversity and inclusion, and has been a sought-after master of ceremonies for significant events.
Her leadership has earned widespread recognition, including being named among Saskatchewan’s Women of Influence by SaskBusiness Magazine, a YWCA Saskatoon Woman of Distinction, and a University of Saskatchewan Arts & Science Alumni of Influence. Her numerous honours include the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, among others.
