You’ll manage smaller projects independently while collaborating with other departments, and dive into hands-on analysis of as-built conditions, contribute to enhancing workflows, and engage in technical field coordination. Responsibilities include:

·       Provide technical support with the preparation and updating of drawings and supporting documentation in all areas of an interdisciplinary engineering team

·       Adhere to all company policies and procedures, engineering criteria, design standards and applicable regulatory codes. Take ownership of smaller projects and work independently with moderate supervision to meet deadlines and successful project completion

·       Accurately analyse and measure as-built conditions and update drawings accordingly

·       Contribute to updating and review of group procedures and work flows

·       Research and respond to Requests for Information

·       Technical Field coordination during construction activities

·       Check drawings and review documents

·       Provide mentorship as required

·       Work in collaboration on various projects with other Departments (Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Radiation Protection, Services, etc) in the Orano organization

 

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:

·       Graduate of a recognized 2-year Engineering Technologist program

·       Eligible for membership with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPSK)

·       Minimum of 4 years design experience, with mechanical design experience considered an asset; all other applicants are still encouraged to apply

·       Possess strong mechanical design skills. Experience in 3D pipe design and equipment layout in industrial setting an asset

·       Fluent with AutoCAD Plant 3D modelling and management of piping specification database an asset

·       Experience with 3D scanning technologies and point cloud registration process an asset

·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and AutoCAD products. Experience working with MicroStation an asset

·       Ability to work under limited supervision

·       Demonstrate strong initiative

·       Ability to positively contribute as a member of a team environment

·       Ability to contribute to developing and maintaining positive and sustainable relationships with other departments and mine site personnel

·       Possess a positive attitude, attention to detail and a good work ethic

·       Possess excellent communication skills (written and oral)

 

Work Location & Schedule: 

·       Based in the Saskatoon office – Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week

·       Travel to Orano northern mine or project sites is required with varying durations and frequencies
