The Role
As the Raisebore/Driller 1, you will be responsible for overseeing the training and safety of raisebore/longhole personnel at second and third levels of progression.
In this role, you will:
- Operate raisebore/longhole drills and all associated equipment
- Co-ordinate moving, set-up, teardown, and placements of raisebore/longhole drilling equipment
- Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
Required:
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of relevant work experience as a raisebore/longhole operator in a mining environment
- Minimum of five years underground work experience
- Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Blasting certificate
Recommended:
- Experience in longhole drilling and blasting
- Mine Rescue experience
- Ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer)
