Project Industrial Mechanic (2 Positions)

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Responsibilities include:
· Responsible for all aspects of millwright maintenance in the milling complex and surrounding areas. This may include preventative maintenance work, equipment repairs and participation in developing maintenance programs.
· Rebuilding pumps of various types and sizes
· Removal of pumps, fans and agitators for maintenance
· Bearing replacements, belt/sheave changes and adjustments
· Oil Changes on equipment
· Some occasional welding/fabricating
· Maintain a safe and organized working environment
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
· Must have an Interprovincial Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic ticket
o Machining experience and/or a Journeyperson Machinist is considered an asset
o Welding experience and/or a Journeyperson Welder is considered an asset
· Good understanding of pumps and other mechanical equipment related to the mill operation
· Willingness to work with minimum supervision at times
· Work as part of the maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient production of the mill
· Willingness to utilize all skills taught in the millwright trade
· Willingness to assist other trades in the completion of their duties
· Priority will be given to residents of the Saskatchewan’s North
Work Location & Schedule:
· McClean Lake
· 14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
· Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
· This position requires moderate physical ability
Fly Day- This position will fly in and fly out on Wednesday
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Camsell Portage, Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.
As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks.
