The Role

 

As a member of the technical services team, you will report to the project manager, equipment. You will be part of the direct hands-on execution of the capital equipment program across our Saskatchewan northern sites. Ensuring that company goals and business objectives are achieved according to Stakeholder requirements. Capital equipment projects are in various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation in line with the life of mine equipment cycles. We are looking for a strong and dynamic individual to assist with all aspects of mobile equipment project planning and execution meets the established requirements with respect to budget, schedule, scope, quality, health, safety, and environment. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, assist with identifying and securing resources and promote a culture consistent with Cameco values.

 

Required:  

 

  • Interprovincial heavy duty mechanical journeyperson ticket or diploma/bachelor’s degree would be considered.  
  • One to five years of combined work experience with mobile equipment/project management roles within a mining, or industrial setting
  • A combination of education and relevant experience with equipment, equipment rebuilds and/or equipment manufacturing projects is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, build trust and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel
  • Project Management Certification (PMP), with experience within the mobile equipment field (Equipment planning/scoping/management of projects)
  • Frequent travel to our sites will be required during active project planning and execution
     

Recommended:

 

  • Experience in an underground mining environment (Mobile Maintenance Planning background)  
  • Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson certification or a technical diploma in a related discipline is considered an asset
  • Equivalent combination of education and mobile equipment work experience considered
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, MS Project and SAP or equivalent systems
