Our Words Matter: The Power of Language in the Workplace

Lunch & Learn

KPMG LLP

In this lunch and learn, Ms. Biesenthal shared one of Bridges Health’s core curriculums on mental health in the workplace. “Our Words Matter: The Power of Language in the Workplace” provided practical knowledge and take-aways regarding using appropriate terminology in the workplace as well as learning about first person language and perspective taking in relation to psychological health and safety. This interactive, adult-learning based curriculum brought to light and demystified some of the stigma surrounding mental illness and how we as individuals can adopt healthy and supportive language in the workplace, and beyond.
