Lunch and Learn Event: Corrugated Steel Bridge and Tunnel Solutions

Lunch & Learn

Corrugated steel has a long history in Canadian infrastructure (100+ years) and this includes Mining structures.  These applications have increased due to recent developments in manufacturing, corrugation profiles, design & analysis tools, coatings and Canadian Bridge Code acceptance.   These “Buried Bridges” are used for mine portals, grade separation structures, heavy haul truck crossings, as well as stockpile conveyor tunnels.   In addition, open bottom arches for watercourse crossings provide economical options for access roads to remote locations.  In this lunch and learn we will visit a number of case studies that demonstrate the strength, versatility and ease of installation of Corrugated Steel plate structures for Mining projects.
