Position and Responsibilities
Reporting to the manager of BTS- Servers and Storage you will join a high-energy team responsible for the technical administration and support of the Industrial Control System (ICS) infrastructure at our Port Hope Conversion Facility.
Responsibilities would include day-to-day coordination and communication with Cameco’s Business Technology and ICS staff and outside support parties as required, to ensure a reliable, secure, and up to date environment that is in line with Cameco’s strategic vision. Duties would include, but would not be limited to, the administration of servers, DNS, DHCP, group policy and active directory management, system security, monitoring, virtualization, disaster recovery, and change management related to the environment.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
• Post-secondary degree in information technology or an IT related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in designing, supporting, and maintaining complex IT environments.
• In-depth understanding and experience with Information Technology standards and best practices, and product specific experience with Microsoft’s implementation of DNS, DHCP, operating systems, software updates and group policies.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
Assets:
• ITIL training
• Preference given to candidates with professional certifications in Microsoft.
• Networking experience
