Expeditor II

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. The Expeditor will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services by coordinating with vendors, monitoring shipment schedules, and addressing any delays or issues that arise. In this role, you will:

  • Maintain records of ordered goods and their corresponding shipping dates
  • Confirm shipping dates with vendors and monitor shipment notice to pre-empt potential delivery issues. Inspect shipments upon arrival to ensure products meet specified standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and time delivery of materials to support project timelines
  • Coordinate and facilitate procurement of material between the construction management team (CMT), vendors, and Cameco procurement specialists for all Cameco procured and contracted materials & equipment
  • Review all purchase orders created against construction management team project packages and obtain BOM or RFQ documents
  • Maintain expediting/tracking spreadsheet or databases and copies of documents. Expedite information from vendors and manage vendor commitments/deliverables
  • Communicate and liaison with the project management team and construction management team
  • Ensure contract and purchase order compliance by contractors and vendor/suppliers
  • Continuous improvement for expediting processes and procedures

Required:

  • Diploma in business, supply chain management, or related field
  • Minimum five to eight years’ experience in contract administration on industrial or major projects within a construction environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP or related software for checking purchase orders and maintaining purchasing records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handler unexpected situations effectively
