As a member of the maintenance planning team, reporting to the senior planner, you will be committed towards helping Rabbit Lake reach reliability excellence. You will build relationships and work closely with maintenance supervisors and trades personnel, focusing on a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.
In this role, you will:
- Generate and coordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual schedules.
- Generate and coordinate site shutdowns.
- Develop complete work order packages, manage material, labour availability and delivery.
- Develop repair plans, optimize maintenance plans to improve maintenance activities.
- Maximize equipment availability and maintenance worker efficiency.
- Contribute to asset reliability through various continual improvement efforts.
- Create and modify work plans to ensure preventive and predictive maintenance efficiencies.
- Be responsible for backlog management, reporting and follow up.
- Assist with bills of materials and equipment data, preparing reports and scheduling support.
- Facilitate daily and weekly schedule meetings.
Required:
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson trade certificate as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
- A minimum of five years maintenance scheduling and planning experience in a mine setting
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills, working with various levels in the organization
- Experience with SAP
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
- Previous maintenance planning, coordinating and/or scheduling experience.
- Previous lead hand/supervisor experience.
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification, CMRP designation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of asset management, reliability, and maintenance execution best practices.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodology, such as LEAN, and/or Six Sigma training.
- Experience in an operating underground mining facility.
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) and /or Mine Rescue Team (MRT) experience
