In 2021, BHP approved a CA$7.5 billion investment in Jansen Stage 1 in Saskatchewan, Canada, which is aligned with their strategy of growing exposure to future facing commodities in world-class assets. Potash opens a new front for growth and is an expandable resource that can support a century or more of operations. Potash provides BHP with greater diversification by commodity, country, and customer.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Potash, the Principal Performance & Improvement plays a critical role in driving and maintaining the business performance and effectiveness of the Potash Technology Team. This position will collaborate with the wider Technology function and customers across Potash. Through strategic planning, the incumbent will support the Potash leadership team’s decisions on the direction of financial, workforce, and operational activities. The Principal Performance & Improvement will prioritize action towards critical issues, which will require information to facilitate efficient decision making.
The role will support the Technology Lead Team to plan and deliver strategic improvements across the Potash function. This includes portfolio management, people strategy, operating model, stakeholder engagement, risk management, operating discipline, business processes, and the BHP Operating System's (BOS) maturity.
Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.
